Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-05-16. Plain English version. If anything is unclear, email brenden@costaria.io.

Who we are

Costaria is an independent AI consulting practice operating remotely across the United States. We help small businesses and solopreneurs automate workflows with AI. The website you are reading right now is costaria.io. Contact: brenden@costaria.io.

What we collect, and why

We collect only what we need to do the work and answer your questions.

  • When you book a discovery call: your name, email address, and any answers you give to the questions on the booking form. The booking is handled by Cal.com on our behalf. Their privacy policy applies in parallel: cal.com/privacy.
  • When you email or call us: the email address or phone number you contacted us from, plus whatever you wrote or said. We keep this in our regular mail and phone tools (Google Workspace, our phone provider).
  • When you visit the site: basic, non-identifying analytics about how the site is being used (page views, device type, referral source). This site uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure advertising performance. The pixel records page views and when you click to book a call, and shares that information with Meta to help us understand whether our ads are working. It does not capture form contents, your name, your email, or anything you type. You can block the pixel with any standard ad blocker, or by using Meta's own off-Facebook activity controls at facebook.com/off_facebook_activity.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your information. Not to anyone, ever.
  • We don't share your information with third parties for their marketing.
  • We don't train our AI models on your private business information. The model providers we use (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) have their own data-handling commitments; we use settings that exclude your data from training where those settings exist.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes only:

  • Functional: the Cal.com booking widget sets cookies when you open it, so the booking flow works.
  • Advertising and analytics: we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the performance of ads we run on Facebook and Instagram. The pixel sets cookies and a small anonymous identifier in your browser, then reports back to Meta when you view our site or click to book a call. You can opt out by blocking cookies in your browser, using any ad-blocking extension, or using Meta's off-Facebook activity controls.

How long we keep your information

If you become a client, we keep what we need for the duration of the project plus 7 years for tax and contract records. If you reach out but do not become a client, we keep your message for up to 2 years and then delete it.

Your rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, and opt out of any "sale" of your personal information. We do not sell your information, so the opt-out is automatic. To exercise the other rights, email brenden@costaria.io and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are a resident of the European Union or United Kingdom, you have similar rights under the GDPR. Same process: email us and we will handle it.

Security

We use standard, industry-accepted security practices. Email is encrypted in transit. Cloud tools are accessed with two-factor authentication. We don't store payment information ourselves; payments are processed by Stripe or similar.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. If the change is substantial, we will note it in the changelog below.
