Costaria is an independent AI consultancy operated as a sole proprietorship in the United States. References to "we," "us," or "Costaria" mean the practice; references to "you" mean the person or business using the site or hiring us.
You can read the site, book a discovery call, email us, or call us. You agree not to do anything illegal with it, scrape it at scale, or try to disrupt how it works. The content on the site (copy, design, code, diagrams) is ours unless otherwise marked; please do not copy it wholesale onto your own site.
A discovery call is free, informal, and creates no contract or obligation. You can cancel any time, and so can we. We may use what we learn on the call to recommend whether AI is worth pursuing for your situation, and at what tier.
Every paid engagement is governed by a separate written agreement that you sign before any work begins. That agreement will cover: scope, deliverables, timeline, price, payment terms, confidentiality, intellectual property, and termination. These Terms of Service do not by themselves create a paid engagement. If anything in a signed engagement agreement conflicts with these Terms, the engagement agreement controls for that project.
Standard prices are listed at costaria.io/#pricing. Prices are in US Dollars. Engagements are quoted as fixed prices unless otherwise stated in your engagement agreement. Payment timing (deposit at start, balance at launch, monthly billing for retainers, etc.) is specified in the engagement agreement.
If something we built does not work the way we agreed it would, we will fix it at no charge during the 30-day post-launch window (60 days for multi-agent systems). After that window, we offer a paid maintenance plan, or we will help you hand the work off cleanly.
If you change your mind about a project before we have started building, you can cancel and we will refund any deposit minus a small charge for time already spent. Once a build is in progress, refunds depend on the engagement agreement.
When we ship a project to you, you own the work product we delivered for your specific business. We retain ownership of any general methodology, templates, code libraries, and patterns we developed before or during the project that are reusable across clients. We also reserve the right to describe our work in anonymized form for marketing, with no client names or confidential details, unless your engagement agreement says otherwise.
We treat any non-public information you share with us as confidential. We will sign a standard NDA on request before a project starts, at no cost. We don't share your information with third parties without your permission, except where required by law.
A typical Costaria project uses third-party tools and services on your behalf, including but not limited to: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Workspace, Zapier, Make.com, n8n, Cal.com, Stripe, Twilio, QuickBooks, HubSpot, Pipedrive. Each of these services has its own terms and pricing. We will tell you which third-party services your project uses and any monthly costs to you before the build begins.
We do our best to ship work that is useful and works the way we said it would. That said, AI systems can produce unexpected results, and software in general can break. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your engagement with Costaria is limited to the amount you paid us for the project that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith conversation will be handled in the courts of the State of California.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top changes when we do. If you have an active engagement with us, the version of these Terms in effect when you signed the engagement agreement is the one that applies to that engagement.
